I am justonwo and I (will) play Kraut guitars.
guitar has a super-short scale length (24"), but the other guitar that Anton mentions is Ray's with the Mod D.

Commonly played short scale (23.5) jazz guitar is the byrdland, played by Hand Garland and Jackie King with no real issues -- the G 12th and E 15h fret E octave was a bit out.
