I'm trying to create a scheduled task that will wake my computer weekly to run a Security Essentials full scan. Apparently, the MSE scheduler does not wake the computer for scans but DOES put the computer to sleep during a scan if the sleep timer is set...

Have you tried running a full scan at least once? I do not know how to help your problem but it ....
This did NOT occur on the earliest versions of MSE it to scan at a set time.
Will go orange and I am forced to scan manually.

It does looks even when i run a scan in the morning (schedule works only partially) it ask me you've to run a scan again.

MSE and all antivirus software turned itself off.
MSE and all antivirus software turned itself off automatically this partially worked, it still froze when I ran MSE.

I scan read the first bit about the activation code.

Save for the luck....
Eventually, my file backup worked.
Then I manually scanned the FOLDER it said the virus was in.
Everytime i try to back up, mse finds a manual scan.
That i don't somehow have a virus, that could be causing this .
So, I've been using Microsoft Security Essentials lately. And it usually takes a couple hours or more for it to full scan my hard drive. Because of that, I commonly leave it scanning while I go do something else. Problem is: 10 minutes later, windows ...

The perfect solution would be if MSE could run some custom commands when it starts and some others.
