I'm trying to create a scheduled task that will wake my computer weekly to run a Security Essentials full scan. Apparently, the MSE scheduler does not wake the computer for scans but DOES put the computer to sleep during a scan if the sleep timer is set...

I use Microsoft Security Essentials. I have it set to do a Quick scan every day at 3PM as my computer is almost always on then. I assume it's working but can't check as that information does not seem to be logged anywhere.

Have you tried running a full scan at least once? I do not know how to help your problem but it ....
This did NOT occur on the earliest versions of MSE it to scan at a set time.
Will go orange and I am forced to scan manually.

It does looks even when i run a scan in the morning (schedule works only partially) it ask me you've to run a scan again.

This is not actually a problem but i just wanna to know how to exclude MSE so that i can scan the file that i downloaded (sandboxed) without MSE being sandboxed

You don't need to exclude MSE to scan files that you download.

Eventually, my file backup worked.
Then I manually scanned the FOLDER it said the virus was in.
Everytime i try to back up, mse finds a manual scan.
That i don't somehow have a virus, that could be causing this .
