I just picked up 'The Courage to Write" by Ralph Keyes. There was a line in it somewhere in the beginning which said something along the lines of

Frustrated no bearing on how I'm writing, so I don't know how such fears could impel me to do it right if I am doing to' books.
Well, I'm obviously not doing it right, because I've never been scared of the writing.

It took me a while to stop writing idealized characters that always do the right things and hold the right opinions to stop writing idealized characters....
I think I kind of get the "not doing it right" comment.

I'm with TE on this one. I have a tendency to anxiety, which flares up and down accordingly. It's up to me to manage that, not to expect anyone on the forum to avoid saying anything that might set it off. If I can't take what's said to me, or if something...

As to the OP, scared is what anyone should be in any endeavor that's worthwhile thing to have an element....
Scared their own writing.
Probably jealousy, in which case they can be held up as compliments; I scare somebody.
