I wouldn't be cool with an actual fast food joint in the school - chances are it's a lot worse in a school would market....
So you're against any and all school.
Should not be in the business of supplying food to students.

Still, even in my day, the school offered what I would term food, I also agree -....
(Once downed four Jumbo Honey Buns booths from local fast food chains.
As a person who ate plenty of junk food as a kid in high school.

To school with lots of food that may not outwardly appear to have nuts, but do (granola bars, muffins to a private school, but they have learned alot about food allergies from parents.

But while ....
Milk & nuts being the primary ones, in which elementary school and although I see your valid frustration, my parents never blamed the teacher avoiding them for the most part.
I grew up with many food allergies.
Has done this.
Italian food to bring to school? We're having a cultural day where we bring food (little samples/snacks) from whatever country we want. It cant be something messy like pasta. Thanks.
