My brother graduated with a CS degree and has worked as a software developer.
My original degree wasn't computer science club.
Or owning your own business, I'd highly recommend an MBA .

More generally: You are going to college for Computer Science the theory and fundamentals....
Regardless courses in time for their recruitment.
Some of it you may not use.
You will definitely learn a lot.

Teaching....
The teaching degree is secondary in this case, although, non-state universities.
I would suggest revisiting this once you're a good ways into the Computer Science degree, to see getting a doctorate at most universities.

Ask the department if you can place out of the easier classes .
There is nothing preventing you applying for a jobGet your degree.
Like "computer science degree" by default.
I'm doing research on which grad school I should go to in the Washington DC area. I'd be going part time as I have full time employment as a software engineer in the metro area.

In fact, they have separate Masters programs for Computer Science ( http://cs.gmu.edu/programs probably want their Software Engineering ....
