More generally: You are going to college for Computer Science the theory and fundamentals....
Regardless courses in time for their recruitment.

I'm a Solutions Architect with no formal IT qualifications, my degree was Maths and Manageemnt Studies.
For a good year or two before i found my first Developer job!) Your degree doesn't limit your choice of career.
