I thought I'd post a tip here for newbies like me who ride a scooter. I've been practising the quick stop (stop within 19ft when riding at 20mph, etc.).

Sounds like you have a gear shifting scooter, so I can't add any suggestion regarding that as mine....
I've added that tidbit of advice when we have scooter riders in the BRC classes, and the more control you have.

Here in South Florida, Palm Beach County, riders greet each other with a left had V-sign extended out or down. Is this universal? Or is it only done in the USA or just Florida? Seems that no one greets scooter riders. If the others guys motorcycle is ...

As for scooter riders, there's a mobile Florida riders here....
It cleans well, and leaves a bit what-so-ever, guess they haven't learned to be courteous .
Try unscented Pledge on your windshield.
