Greetings! Though they became popular much later, is there any clan/tartan that can be linked to King David I? Or at least his descendants?

This evening our guides decided they wanted neckers and they all agreed that they should be a purple /blue/pale blue (or pink) tartan.
Are there any restrictions on which tartans we can use? If I can find one that is the right colour and it is not restricted...

The Scottish Weaver - Tartan, Plaid, houndstooth, tweed, tartan clothing, ribbon, custom weaving havn't been redone, and I've only found these pictures of the oe material.

Is this true really true? Another Scottish question.? Politically aligned opponents of the ruling Scottish political party refer to the Scottish Parliament as the tartan aquarium.
