In a Silverlight application's log in screen, i need to determine if Caps Lock is toggled. This is easy enough by handling the KeyUp or KeyDown event, however how does one determine if it is toggled on or off even if a key hasn't been pressed?

If the KeyValue is (for example) 'A' but the Shift is false then the CAPS.
The way to detect CAPS LOCKS is to check the KeyValue and the Shift of KeyEventArgs.
I haven't done that, but it's a hunch.

My friends dv7-1135nr is not posting. The num lock and caps lock led light will flash once every 2 seconds at the same time. According to HP this issue is a " not functional" cpu. I am ordering another cpu for 16.00 off ebay because this is cheaper opposed...

Every keyboard I have ever seen contained a caps lock and scroll lock key. However, I have never figured out what scroll lock is for, and the caps lock key has always annoyed me (I have disabled it using AutoHotkey :-). I wonder what both keys are good...

Honestly, the only Caps lock does.
Lock or Caps Lock, which have a state that persists after the key is released.
