I just have done a new install of Windows XP Pro/sp3.
The search and companion is not functioning. It returns an error message that: unexpected error :action could be completed.
Turned off the indexing service (useing companion anyway). Same result.

It picks up word files but not pdfs- someone said it's beacuase I don't have adobe profession, so I got it installed and it still doesn't work. Please can someone help.... Many thanks
