For groups I've always found the Scripters of Second Life group very helpful....
There's an ebook - "Scripting Recipes for Second Life" by Jeff Heaton which covers the basics in a reasonably of these are at a pretty basic level.

If it is used somewhere....
_Ios_Openmode seems to be an internal type of some std lib implementation (the style looks like Dinkumware to me, but I'm not sure) that shouldn't be used outside of that implementation .
I think it's meant to be std::ios::openmode.

I have a SQL instance which is running SQL 2005 on windows 2003 x64, 64GB of RAM on the server however the page life expectancy can sometimes dangerously drop to less than a minute and buffer cache ratio hits 99% but sometimes although rare drops to 7...

For example, are they using Java/Struts? Or ASP.NET? Or PHP? Or some combination of technologies?
Not sure how public they are about their infrastructure, but it would be very interesting to know what they use.
