Where should one go to be kept updated on all of the security flaws/problems floating around? Specially in the era of open source where we tend to use libraries from everywhere.

If you are a programmer of an app, with potential (costly) ramifications if the security of the app is compromised, are you responsible if anything goes wrong (e.g data is leaked)?
Does it depend on whether you are the manager of the project?

For protecting files locally or on a network, it should be fine... .
There are tools that can crack a zip file password but they have to do it using brute force, usually starting with a dictionary attack .
There aren't any big flaws in ZIPs password.
