This is a brand new in packaging gear selector lever for the 2008-2010 ZX10R. These are a bit of an achilles heel on the bike so if yours hasnt gone yet it might be due one

Thats risky cause you're actually changing the position of the selector fork instead or the selector fork, it will just pull the lever up or down, since the lever is free to rotate.

Main gear lever come out of selector rail gate. I have replaced selector rail gates but the problem is still there. When operating the main gear lever it feels as if the lever moves too far back or forward. Any ideas as to how to fix this ?

These are prone to excessive wear allowing them to jump out of the selector rail.
Weld onto bottom of gear lever and buff to size to fit in selector making the fitHow worn is the gear lever.
It's a common one.
