Septic Tank Septic tank collapsed and backed up in the basement. Fun times. Saw it coming, but was trying to make it until I got my tax refund. It's credit card time. Crap... pun intended. "there are many paths to redemption... not all of them peaceful...

In Vegas most homes were built post-1990 and are located in developments, so the majority are connected to public well/water and public sewer. We are currently house hunting and looking at some homes outside of subdivisions, many of which have septic ...

We have been in our new house for 2 years. this is the first house with a septic system. someone i spoke to recently has been in their house for 25 years and has never pumped. they swear by ridd-x. i have been told by most folks as long as you are careful...

In my area there are some villages not having main drainage hence septic tanks are in use.
I frequently pass a tanker engaged in emptying these tanks and the stench is such that I endeavour to hold my breath for the time it takes to get through the affected...

My house and septic system were built in 1971, so are 40 years old. The septic guy told me the drain field would eventually have to be replaced and that would cost $6000. He said it would last longer if less water goes into it.
It would be easy to disconnect...
