Is low setting and high settings that much of a difference to you in games?
To me there isnt much of a difference. I think most of the graphics power goes to stuff I dont see when playing on max settings. Thats why im sticking to a mid end pc. Gt 545 ...

Depends on the resolution.
In most games, there is defiantly up for the pc .
For example looks VERY different from Low to Very High.

Have a similar mouse, it might be set to the maximum speed.

As a developer, once or twice a week I run a full build on my XP dev machine.
This will run at 100% cpu for 30 or 40 minutes, making my machine usless for anything other than basic browsing & email.

I was running it in customs settings somewhere between low it will, but people even on low end systems weren't seeing their CPU or their GPU pushed to 100%.
I was thinking I needed a serious PC upgrade.
