Chip out hyd cement pack oakum around the pipe as tight as you can get it, reaplly hyd cement,this has worked for me in the past.

They filled the hole around the pipe with silicone.
About 3 feet below grade.

I would take this seriously only when....
They warn unit.
At least looks like they have made provision for Type 1 and 2 sewage treatment devices.
It looks like they are crucifying boats while still dumping an entire cities sewage into the Gulf.
It is not good for a sewage pump to sit and not be used.

Does this change your recommendation....
The pipe would have to ALWAYS be full of sewage for such a pump to function..
Ideally, the sewage to make it work.
Not likely.

If you....
It is soap and grease.
If you are putting any grease or greasy foods down the drain, that grease will coagulate in the basin and the pump will not move it .
You didn't say what the consistency of the "solids" is, but it sounds similar to grease .
