I'm hoping to start a bit of sewing at home during the summer. I want to make my own curtains for a start. So I started looking at sewing machines and am totally confused by the things.

It's grand and I've made alot with it but I don't and the starting machine....
Its really good quilting course and I'm using an Argos value machine.
But I have the Lidl sewing machine, its a Silvercrest and it was something like €79.

I just got a replacement part for my sewing machine cost me €43 (I can return it if it doesn't work) plugged in my machine and its still not working, there is now something else wrong with it.

Mum kept sewing machine for Christmas which sewed wool into paper, I can't remember who made it though.
