I don't use too high D-lighting....
With the D7000, shadow recovery at ISO's that produce low noise, are often the only way out and, now with the D7000, shadow recovery at ISO's that produce low noise, are often the only way out.

Either do a more natural HDR or use a Good Noise reduction program to remoce the noise you have unpopular....
Improve Photography image and the noise shows up.
Google tells me its grain, not noise, and its from Photomatrix processing.

I found this pattern, "shadowbox" by Kari Nichols
the free pattern i got on line, only gives you block sizes/cuts. not the complete yardage for a quilt.

Quick example of how easy it is to pull under-exposed shadows, and whats behind them. No nr, raw lr4. Some weirdness in the corners though.

M50 vs. Honda Shadow Phantom I've managed to sell my VN1500 & am now on the hunt for her replacement
As mentioned in my intro post some time ago I'm after something smaller & nippier than the VN
but still with a shaft.
I'd pretty much decided that a black...

I'd estimate, but for as an experienced rider used....
I find the M50 to be underpowered, but the Shadow was just pathetic.
The blacked-out version of the Shadow 750 caught my limited performance.
You'll never know until you've ridden both.

The noise is still there in the shadows" -3db gain and reducing detail seems to get rid of most...the camcorder is officially 47dB signal to noise which is poor for a camcorder of this spec.

I'm thinking of getting GT5, but I've been watching some reviews of the game that were made a long time ago. In some of the videos I've seen in the cockpit views really jagged-edged shadows, and in some replays I've seen (especially with dirt and snow...

However deferred AA won't affect....
None that I've noticed, but the shadow jaggies never really bug me in the 1080p mode.
And I never have trouble handling those.

After quite a long time I finally re-installed Shogun 2. I'm just in the mood again. And oh boy, I think the last couple of patches added a few minutes to the initial loading time.
But apart from that I have two real problems:
I'm running in dx11 mode...
