Is there any real performance gain on a virtual hosting over a shared hosting? Do you recommend any virtual hosting costing bellow $100?

As for performance I never used a shared host so I can't compare the difference solution.
A VPS instead of shared hosting allows me to configure SSH and self signed certificates for encrypted administrative logins.

If you can't do that, host 19 of the domain names at some other web host, and then use....

GoDaddy is usually quick Shared Hosting does support MVC as long as you select IIS7, .NET3.5 and add the three main MVC dlls, Mvc is a cheap iis7 hosting....
It supports II7 & .NET 3.5.

In IIS, you can configure sub- and virtual directories....
You need to contact your hosting service, use their Help pages, etc.
I don't know about YOUR hosting service, but my cheap GoDaddy service allows me to specify with their own Web.config's.
