Horny Sheep
After getting battered about by horned ewes while scanning I got wondering, Why do farmers continue to breed horned sheep and not breed the horns off as the Dorset breeeders have done.
I can think of reasons not to have horns, economic, animal...

just tell them horns past there ears you will not scan them same as the works for killing cattle makes me wonder how the fellas with highland cattle get on
horns on sheep look good on rams /feet than relying on horns....

Ever since I seen my first Nebraska big horn 5 years ago it has always....
I think is that way but that northwest corner is pretty cool country .
Its pretty rugged and would give most people a work out .
That the Nebraska big horns are living in.

I haven't seen my sheep horns in 6 months now (yes at the taxi in a sheep hunt in an area that went registration with some level of trophy destruction horn cutting sheep.
In the freezer is a WAY nice bonus.

Just wondering what all your thoughts were on type of sheep...the people that have it dont know....i think its either a stone or a dall...8 age rings but could be younger or older not to sure...any guess would be welcome....43 inches

Figured the way it flared out if it was a big horn it should have more mass to it...but im no sheep be a good guess or bad guess...Hell of a sheep anyways..ill get more photos tomarow if I get a chance if its a Stone's or Dall's.....
