89 model 5.0 has been troublesome since i got it in 2009. Old engine had a misfire which i thought was a tune up, did tune up ran well, misfire came back. Things happen, new engine, runs great for 200-300 miles... misfire is back.

Ignition.
Some of these depend on direct contact with the body sheet metal (voltage regulator).
I turned on the headlights.
When i got to the exhaust pipe the misfire had stopped.
