'm curious- how many of you used Shettles method (or something similar) to try to get a particular gender?
Did it work? (Are you having the specific sex you tried for)?
Just wondering if that works... I feel like there's a lot of room for error... and...

I think Shettles method is a crock.
This baby is a boy.
We weren't trying to use Shettles, but I guess we technically before I O'd.
With YDD and didn't follow a method...

I have had this theory for a while that if you are actively "trying" to get pregnant you will have a boy and for those unplanned or unexpected pregnancies they are girls. It's kind of like the Shettles method which will tell you to have sex once before...

So Shettles I think would have predicted a boy, but she is very much a little girl but if we were, shettles would have failed....
Congrats on Team Purple! That's awesome!! We weren't doing Shettles or trying before that.

They are now expecting their 4th girl.
They used this method and only DTD on the day she O'd which according to this method means they would get a boy.
Brother and SIL have 3 girls and wanted to try 1 more time for a boy .

I've read about the Shettles method and the O+12 method. Shettles pretty much says you need to have sex atleast 2-3 days before you ovulate because girl sperm live longer & the male sperm will die off ...
