My son's enlistment is over at the end of the year. He is trying to get as much of his leave at the end, so that he can start school and find a place to live etc...I was just wondering if once the leave is granted and he's home, can they call him back...

There are way too many variables that factor in as to why ... .
If the possibilty is there that the buyer may be inclined to leave a negative but chooses not to at all instead then I would rather they leave none at all.

A lot of places in the world don't have motorcycle rentals, or the rentals are very expensive. (BMW outfits charging $150/day, etc)
Would it be possible to ship a bike to a location, ride for a month or two, and then sell it there? Even if you sell it...

Most countries do have laws regarding leaving a vehicle behind while you leave/South America....
There are probably places in the world where you can ship a cheap bike, ride around, and sell it there, making for a pretty cheap trip...
