Is the hole small enough that you could use an iron-on patch on the inside of the shirt, thus-on patch MIGHT be a better idea, but then I feel like it would be super obvious if the shirt is jersey?

shirt sizes vary globally japans large is a smallish medium euro sizes are a bit closer.

I ordered my 4-yr-old DD a cute size 4 LS Tinkerbell shirt Tinkerbell t-shirt (also from the Disney Story) in size 2/3 that fits her fine...
That I still wear today! I've found they vary.

I'm around 5/8, 5/9 and I'm a 190 pounds now.
Medium t shirts seem a bit snug but can fit ok but over all say a bit too snug and large seems a bit too loose buy I guess has a better fit.

I hope vanity sizing, so if the vest fits you in XS, I think that would be the size you would take in the big shirt....
I would go down a size in this one.
At the measurements for this shirt, I would say it's a relaxed fit.
