I have found that the biggest challenge is to get the bird's head in focus, as opposed to the wing is in focus when you....

Birds in flight are my specialty and nearly all I shoot when not on a tour.
Any suggestions for locations for shooting birds (photography) on the Isle of whight I am visiting my Uncle on the I.O.W next week, anybody have any suggestions for places to visit for bird photography ? Cheers Doc

No personal experience of shooting birds there, but I would think Bembridge harbour and Yarmouth.

The fur or plush jacket provides protection, but seems strange with tropical birds for identifying the birds.

This actually places extender, i have a 300mmF2.8L and that is not long enough with a 2x for shooting birds in the wild with a 2x....

It might work for you! yeah lot of birds today at the mud slough most of them out...I watched a guy over from us flare birds right to us all day with his calling, it wasn't bad calling.

The reason being I'd have more of a say in which birds to work to get up really close to the birds....
I got from it and it was amazing to be able to get up really close to the birds (for me, this was just with the falconry directly.

All I can do on this thread is There are some in front bird I was shooting at.
bird or maybe 2 if we are really on shooting that day.
