Does anyone have a good recipe for boneless pork shoulder butt on the grill (a 3-burner 2008 Charbroil RED, which I love)? I'm looking for results that would be served by slicing like a roast, not pulled or chopped for a sandwich filler. I'm assuming ...

Today @ the local a&p here in downtown gooberville i stumbled
on a pack of shoulder butt steaks in the family pack case
after doin a doubletake at the sticker price i figgered fer 3 bucks i'll
throw'em in the smoker for a few hours & see what happens

Your rub and smoke was probably enough flavor but I can't imagine that the meat was... .
Did you know that those pork cutlets were injected with a 12% salt solution? Your pic is so clear that you can read the label .

Issue, stiff shoulders both. the left one I had two shoulder surgerys, labrum repair then a "release" surgery.
I still look like "heil hitler" with it. Right one is pathetic...

Personally I wouldn't bother brining a butt though I'm sure it wouldn't be a problem just that brining is for adding moisture and flavor....
Bone in shoulder (the guy said it's what a butt is) and remove the skin and most of that nasty.

I need some tips. I have only smoked a few boston butts and have not been really pleased with the results. They have been tender enough but the flavor inside (deep in the shoulder meat) is not that good and they are not that juicy. I usually use Strawberry...

This is just amazing to read all of these posts. I've had this pain for years and I've struggled to explain it to anyone because no one else I know gets it. And because they don't get it they don't realise how bad it is! I feel it all through my shoulder...
