what tests did he do? Did he test FT3 and FT4 as well as TSH? What were the actual results (and the normal ranges)
I think you definitely should be getting a second opinion. don't give up. Can you ask your pharmacist who are some other endocrinologists...

I started Synthroid to help shrink or have the nodule not grow and I had symptoms of Hypo (even though labs showed my levels as fine).
Back that I have Hashimoto, and u/s showed a 1 inch nodule.
