Yes thats the one but it does not have any writing on the front where Canon is on that one .
There is a Canon remote called TC-80N3.

If not, clean all contacts (do that anyway, deactivate the double exposure, lock the sprocket wheel by turning it, use the advance, release the shutter and reassemble....
That should clear the jam.

That on the Canon 1D Mark II, there's a Personal Function that trips the shutter whenever a subject enters the plane of focus.
