Even THAT is a lie though, because it was not long after the shuttle was sent up to the shuttle from the launch.

If your PoD is in '76, then it's going to be the OTL Shuttle exactly, maybe also in the early to mid 70s, could the Space Shuttle be build and designed without Air Force involvement planning, but I can't seem to find....
