Seeing a shuttle launch was on my bucket list, but it looks as though I'm Damn, I wish I could see this....
You can still see the shuttle launch in almost anyplce in florida, I wish I could see this.
Somewhere away from the cape.

I was wondering which space shuttle launch photo was fellow cS'ers favourite? Mine is from STS-1 .
I have always liked that photo. I think it sums up the majesty and the beauty of that first launch. onesmallstep

Personally I find it sad that this is the last launch for 20 years, primarily because the economy there was even any talk of ending our shuttle flights.

We're just back from watching the shuttle launch--pretty exciting stuff! Obviously, I've seen it on t.v. lots of times, but being there was something else again: watching it become daylight at liftoff, seeing it go into the clouds, go out of the clouds...
