Signing Passports
Hi all one of my mindees mums has asked if I am able to sign her passport photos for her passport and driving licence application.
Does anyone know if we can?

Yes we can as we are classed as a proffesional... .
The passport office called me for my registration number, but it was all fine x I think you can - BUT you have to have a valid passport yourself.
....not sure I have signed one before.

Can we sign passports?
One of my parents has just phoned and asked me this and I don't know the answer!
Obviously I know them very well and she wondered if I could because I have my own business?

I have done it for a couple of families now and had the passport office sign, I have signed 2 so far and they have been issued - think it depends who you get at the passport a call....

Do children's passports (5 year ones) display the parents names and details?
I'm about to renew my kids passports for a further 5 years, their current passports are with their father, but we are travelling in June so need to renew them and he is not forthcoming...

My son is going to apply for passports for his children, all under 15, the birth certificates that they have include both parents names and place of birth, are these OK or is there a diferent one that is required? I know the rules changed a few months...

As a provider, is it legal to ask for a picture of a client's passport, or is some sort of license needed to do this?
It's ONLY to verify age. All other sensitive info (except the name and dob) can be blacked out by the client.

Pet passports are an EU thing - you don't need one for a pet to travel to the UK from Canada home in February.
