My records say my minted.
Have all proof 2001 (P) proof silver eagles if they were purchased from the mint.
Just visited the RCM's website and noticed that the coins in the 2012 fine silver proof set are struck twice at a lower than normal speed for a "high definition" finish. Not exactly sure what that means, but it will interesting to compare the proof coins...

Has anyone ever seen a silver proof nickel that has a cameo or any contrast at all? Just curious as I have only seen watery examples - nice looking but zero cameo or contrast. So anyone ever see any?

Yes, that is a fair price for the proof set from what I have seen.
I think it depends on the overall.

Day and what is nicer than silver proof sets and a box of chocolates! Tough call.
