Getting ready to order my sets for my albums. Is there any difference between the proof set and the silver proof set outside of the silver dime, half, and quarters? Would the cent, nickel, sac, etc be the same quality / appearance in both sets? Think ...

I have always wished they would sell a combined silver and clad proof setI don't believe there ....
The reason why the silver proof sets, they could do that again...
It wouldn't make any sense though.
A lot more sets that way.

As long as there is a reverse proof the crap the Mint pulled last year....
I'll probably do more if the mintage stays low or reasonable I voted for 1 set .
I really like the reverse proof.
Thinking I might buy some, depending upon the price.

I edited this original post. Now I only need to buy the 2001 silver proof quarters. I don't need the 10 coin set, just the 5 quarters. Please let me know if you have an extra set to sell. They don't have to have any original packaging, as long as they...

Starting in 200....
The problem with 1999 & 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003 'silver' proof state quarters is that you had to buy the entire full 'silver' proof set with cent-half to get these 'silver' proof state quarters.

Somebody is missing a proof set or two! I stopped at one of my local stores where I sometimes get silver back in change. I always ask if they have halves and take any of the dollar coins they have off their hands as a small favor since no body wants those...

If you get any mint and proof 1971 coins they are probably from me ..
That a try.

OK, I know this isn't a 1972 Ike proof stuck in silver with no mintmark. So what IS it? Massive grease filled die that affected just the mintmark area? I can't see any sign of a mintmark being removed, even among the (many) marks.
On my not-very-accurate...

I have no idea....
Your weights are right for silver ( and clad) altho they seem to be .3 g high each.
But I think it is a type III.
Could it be a BS struck on a silver planchet?
I can't tell from the pictures though
Edited working from photos.

I notice people selling post 1980 fifty cent coins on eBay stating they're sterling silver. I can't find anything on the net about that. They all have the usual crest on the back. Are they sterling or are they bs*ing?

Proof sets were made with the circulation coins in sterling silver but I see that people are advertising the 2012 silver proof nickels as .9999 pure silver.
Smells like crap to me.

Silver Roosie dimes. Good/Better condition. I'm just "filling-holes" in this book so I'm honestly not too worried about the condition of the coins.
Melt is about $2.30 ea. for these. That's what I'm hoping to pay. Plus the shipping ...
