For girls, i'm not sure what my favorite type of singing voice is....

Ive been told that i have a great speaking voice (a deep "radio voice") and have been told by my public speaking professor i should do voice-over work. i am a slightly below average singer with zero training. so i was wondering if someone has a good speaking...

At doing rock/indie music,
northern singers just sound more raw and energetic.
eg, cribs, shaun ryder, oasis, arctic monkeys etc,
i like coldplay, bloc party and blur but they sound a bit soft really.

I'm sure teach you "how to sing" (I use that loosely, because you can't really teach someone how to sing, you can just refine a voice....
While video lessons are an option, the best way is, unfortunately, to get singing lessons.

Whats wrong with my singing voice? I'm 13, and I slept late yesterday, so I took about a 4 hour nap. As soon as I woke up, I wanted to sing. I love to sing, but when I tried singing my voice sounded slightly raspy and I couldn't reach falsetto as easily...
