For .Net there are lots of projects that Microsoft/others provide via which one can learn how patterns etc. are implemented in real life projects. I am looking for ones for J2EE (apart from the samples that Sun provides on: http://java.sun.com/javaee/...

This, and the Java BluePrints project, are a good reference about patterns in a decent sized project) that show patterns and how they can be implemented using JEE APIs.
I've done the lidded boxes. Hate it. It's a pain to drag the whole box down to look through it. I have a few that I printed off or tore out of magazines in page protectors in a notebook. It's just ok, but I don't want to take all of my commercial patterns...

A little larger (more your pattern size) in drawers of that size - Something like this is what I have half size binders, 5.5 x 8.5, and put my quilt patterns in the page protectors of that size by size....

Whether you choose XSD and/or Schematron depends on what you are trying to... .
So, I recommend an XML Schema approach.
DTDs are older standards as compared to XML Schemas.
You will be able to validate your XML with either an XML Schema or a DTD using C# .

It is easier to make pattern size where....
You can use the smaller size in certain areas, and the larger of multi-sized patterns without cutting the original pattern.
Try to find multi-sized patterns.

I'm looking forward to it already.
I am planning to make a book of our patterns with lots of new ones in as well which I will sell always looking out for new patterns.
Skeettx gave me a tip recently to tighten up patterns in my Antoine Marechal cyl/sk choked hammer gun. Simply wrap scotch tape around the wad and load as usual. My primary reason for wanting to try this is because I'd also like to use the gun for chukars...

The wad would flip with shot inside the cup and hit the pattern board gas seal first and punch one hole through ....
We experimented with slitting the Ballistic Products pattern driver wad with only two slits rather than the recommended 4.
