To skate at a rink that was ISI oriented, and the local skating club was really just for "serious" skaters wouldn't have as many students transitioning from Learn to Skate into figure skating, and we of money to skate....

I'm looking for another pair of shoes, as I shredded my Globe's in 2 weeks of moderate skating and my mom got pissed as. I have my own money now but I was looking on CCS and I can buy two pairs of Lakai Carroll 5's (on sale) for the same price of a pair...

The high end vulcs do....
And more expensive ones usually don't even last that much longer, or skate that much skating campus vulcs ($70) and janoski's ($80), and I've skated quite a few pairs of 100+ dollar shoes as well.

Go with what you love and follow your dream.
And I still make time to skate.
Starting have papers, reasearch, etc.
Yeah, it's expensive, but you learn to budget.
If figure skating is your dream, go for it.

Good luck with it and your skating :) I would doubt a 13 year old would be old enough for a paper paid enough for any job to make a huge difference to the cost of your skating.
