Is 18 too old to start ice skating? I mainly want to skate for fun, but learning how to do some tricks on the ice would be cool. Is it possible to be competitive at 18? I also don't have a whole lot of money. How expensive does skating get?

Skate hire is included with the term fees - just arrive a bit before the lesson starts....
The only "skate wear" I own is tights, two competition dresses (one I made myselfI know the Icehouse - I skate there.

I was nearly hyperventilating and probably would have expired on the spot if I'd had to skate): Figure Skater I was 13.
It was the Winter Trophy at my rink, and I was competing at Aussie Skate Free Skate 2 a bit.
I was 22.
