Wear your sunscreen! I was recently diagnosed with melanoma. I never ever went tanning in a tanning bed because I have fair skin that just burns. We caught it early and was told yesterday that they got it all, but it really derailed my weight loss efforts...

I also don't tan, but my dad, BOTH of his parents, AND his grandfather have all had skin cancer.
I am pretty much gauranteed to get skin cancer.

I'm pissed. A friend of ours ignored a skin cancer, basal cell at that, for so long it spread to his lymph system etc. After 10 months of treatment he died last night. Yes I'm very saddened he died, but I'm pissed as Hell that he didn't get it treated...

How do you know if you have skin cancer? Would you know you had skin cancer after more than 4 years? I'm 18 and for as long as I can remember I've had a asymmetrical mole but have just found out it could be cancerous so stupidly I don't wanna get it checked...
