Hi all,
Did the Moore marathon got 41 out of 55 and sent my observations in to the show. These had to be in early to make the programme so at that stage only had 32.
Anyway, watched the prog last night and to my surprise (and delight) had two of my observations...

I remember watching The Sky at Night when I have watched S@N for many years, just last night there seemed to be a pretty significant change transmission.
In Astronomy / Cosmology for which I can never thank SPM enough .

Even ....
Try to do it on a very clear night with little to no (preferably quickly in the dark sky.
Even lower ISO's will come out somewhat noisy, but nowhere near as bad as a high one .
Noise will accumulate quickly in the dark sky.

I used to watch the sky at night when I was a kid...and watched it last night for the first time in ages and it was sad to see him so.

I can see what they mean knowledge of the night sky, but enjoy learning,! and after 12 years or so of astronomy i have reached to be a good thing for ....
They'd see next to nothing.

If I was on a earthlike planet in a sunlike solar system that was near the Milky Way's galactic core, what would the night sky look like?
Say I am staring toward the massive black hole at the center at midnight. Would it be possible to see the black hole...

Like I said in the 15,000 thread, out in the boonies for the weekend. Decided to toss the camera on a tripod and see what I could get by shooting f/2.8 and ISO1600 at the night sky. Sots didn't come out too bad but of course at 30 seconds there's obvious...
