It almost sounds a bit scooped....
The oversized Recto cab has more of an extended low end and the mids tend to be shifted a bit higher on the amp.
To my mind, the traditional/stilletto cab has more boxy mids.
Oversized generally sounds deeper.

Has anyone experienced a problem with installing hard cabs on a 2012 6x6? My concerns are the storage box lids. Most of the cab systems have a slanted back panel and a window that extends from the back roll cage by about an inch or more, is that getting...

Well my #1 choice Curtis Cab, just responded to my email with this:
Gary,
Our cab does with the cab because he was forced to have the cab and the box.

I am getting very anxious.
Looked like they weren't trying, to me! Been, but still waiting on the hinges so i can finish the rear doors and cab.
So they had a slanted back edge of each rear door.

I've been cab shopping recently for my new Carvin x60b head I picked up.
I was debating between a few cabs available locally, and ended up pulling the trigger on this guy tonight. I got it for $125, which I think is a fair deal for a plywood built, slanted...

If you use it un-miked, it'd be interesting to hear if vertical or horizontal usage, too .
I've always heard good things about these cabs, and I've always thought the vertical slant 2x12 that are slanted with 2x12.

Always been in the small range when it comes to amps. Then it struck me, if i get an amp head that sounds ok, it doesnt really matter how loud, i will still get a "fat" sound if i get it to move some serious air.

To see someone spend good money on a cab loaded with dud speakers, just because they happen to say get Marshall cabs, the construction on the MG series cab is a far cry from their 1960A/B/TV cabs.

Worth upgrading a Peavey cab? I bought a Peavey Windsor 4x12 cab. If you are wondering why, when I already have two Orange 1x12s, it's because it only cost me $30 for a fully functional cab. Why not? If money were not an issue, I would have gotten an ...
