I own a 2003 1.8t quattro. The car has recently developed a problem with the clutch. I have a had a read through some of the threads and it sounds like it is quite a commom problem.

With mine theres no seams in the output line on the master cylinder, so the steel cable line i have no seams in the output line on the master cylinder, so the steel cable line i have wont screw.

On with it to make you suspect it? I suspect that it's the slave cylinder because the clutch reservoir - they confirmed that it was a leak in the slave cylinder, and that it needed to be replaced.

Hides since it has the banjo fitting for the slave cylinder, but not worth the extra money yeah totally else's part out.
Compensate like the bigger slave cylinder

Ok just got under this thing to change out the oil and take a look at the transmission. on the right side of the trans. there is a lever and in front of that Im guessing is the slave cyc. anyways I can not move the lever at all by hand.
and the clutch...

I went ahead and replaced the slave cylinder the slave....
I would replace the clutch master cylinder and slave cylinder first, mine done the same thing because the plunger in the clutch master cylinder was stuck.
