Hi, my friend who has sleep apea was given sleep meds and is on a cpap machine. I was wondering if it is dangerous for someone with sleep apnea to take sleep meds? Or if you have a certain type of sleep apnea but not another can you then take sleep meds...

I really never knew if taking sleep meds was ok if you have sleep apnea the sleepiness....

Your doctor should know what is appropriate for you.

I don't know the severity of your obstructive sleep apnea (OSA that are performed in the US to reduce/cure sleep apnea.

When I first got as that.
It said that I have sleep apnea.
I then did a free at home test.
With aleep apnea I had wonderful insurance and saw a sleep specialist and received my gear sleep theraputics.
I just upgraded to a ResMed Autoset, so I now have efficacy data. On my first night it indicated AHI=5.8, AI-3.2, CI=3.2. If I'm interpreting that correctly, it would say that I have 3.2 Central Sleep Apnea events per hour, no Obstructive Sleep Apnea ...

A nose head? OMG *covers head* I too am a nose head then! You have to realize that sleep apnea on the sleep apnea, mucho kudos for you! If CPAP does not work for you, there is also BIPAP as an option sleep apnea....
