Does anyone have experience with REM specific sleep apnea turning into complex sleep apnea? If so, what treatment worked?

New here to this Commnity, but not WEBMD. I have Central Sleep Apnea as well as Obstructive Sleep Apnea. I use a CPAP unit with a little success. I am only able to obtain from 5-5 1/2 hours of sleep waking usually with chest and gasping for air. My Liters...

I've been told that a diagnosis of sleep apnea is a guaranteed 50% disability rating. Anyone know if this is true or not?

Just because you snore doesn't mean you have sleep apnea - there's a lot....
No disrespect, sleep apnea is sort of the "disease du jour," and requires solid documentation (sleep studies, etc.) to qualify for disability.

Better solution for sleep apnea other than CPAP machine?
I have tried several times to use the machine and the hose and the noise and everything about it seems to keep me up more than the sleep apnea! Has anyone tried other products that actually worked...

I was diagnosed as having Sleep Apnea about a year ago and the doctors tried to force all of the apnea, which sounds good if getting to sleep, in the first place, was not a big part of it.

With CPAP than it was during your sleep study? My gut says that they are probalby in the same range saturation--- is it better with CPAP than it was during your sleep study? My gut says is similar to the effect of untreated apnea....
