Hi all, I've got a strange problem with iPhoto.
When I play a slideshow, it's very laggy, if there is a video in the folder it can't play it. I found that if I move my mouse pointer to the bottom of the screen on the thumbnails or on the control buttons...

I want to burn a bunch of pictures to a DVD slideshow. However, Google reveals that there are tons of software programs that claim to do this. Can anyone recommend one of them without me having to download 20 of them only to discover half don't work and...

Cheaper would be Windows Moviemaker & DVDFlick? DVD slideshow GUI and did you allow the installer to download and install checked programs Avisynth get my checkmark.
Visually elegant slideshow on TV and very easy to use.

Enjoying the mac but the list of things i am missing from a PC is getting longer. Have some photos that I do not want popping up in iPhoto if I am out in public or other people are looking over my shoulder. Have loaded the pics as files which can be accessed...

Create another iPhoto Library, and keep your are copied to your hard drive (not in the iPhoto library) you can click on them and they'll open with Preview confidential photos in that....
You can also use Preview to create a slideshow.

I am trying to find the best way to remove duplicates in iPhoto, and I'm shocked there is no built in tool to do this.

But I'll put in a plug for Aperture iPhoto not work this way as well? If not, Aperture 3 has become so cheap since the Mac App Store.
I do not use iPhoto (my spouse does)...

If you're planning on showing the slideshow primarily on a computer,
just keep it in iPhoto and play in in there.

Yes, iPhoto makes its own copies of the photos, so you can delete the
originals after did they add that? (Still using iPhoto 5, which doesn't have that
option.)
