In a normal interview to sort the wheat from the chaff is ask them what they know about your company of your business, which is more digestable in a typically hour-long interview.

We are to wear our best clothes, like what you would wear to church! So if your dressed that nicely, a small purse would make the most sense.

None of this is set received a call for campus interview....
In my field (STEM) the R1s typically go directly for the campus interview whereas the SLACs and other nonPhD granting institutions often do phone/skype before campus interview.

In the last 9 months of job searching I have had 12 different interviews, but zero job offers. Most of the interviews seem to go really well and the conversation is great. I'm in the D.C job market, has anyone else experienced this? Also any HR people...

One, you may not interview very well (you may interviews and 6 phone interviews and no job offers.
It may be two things (perhaps more).
