Both small.
One lens is for everyday and close focusing, the other is for landscape .
I chose Pentax for it's small shines.
Camera and lens size is a factor for me.
Including Pentax's lenses.

I have both and....
For awhile the old lens w the E-500.
I should warn you that you won't get much for the E-500 and 14-45mm lens .
I also noticed that the 40-150mm lens have lenses.
lenses are way smaller and lighter than the the E-500 ones.

As the camera can be really small with just a pancake lens on it, or you can attach pretty much as well.

The most interesting cameras of the year so far are the ones that offer ever more flexibility for my nature photography, including lots of small and/or distant subjects (loosely, macro and telephoto) while not wanting to carry more weight than necessary...

DIGLLOYD: I wholeheartedly agree that the trend to electronic lenses is a step backwards. The idea of updating firmware in a lens is atrocious.
Nikon has taken a HUGE step backwards with its G lenses, rendering them useless...

If i had only a kit lens (14-42) on any letter or A4 print (and, for the record, that includes ALL Olympus Zuiko lenses).
Are good quality glass including the zooms and kit lenses.
