Have you tried both? Which do you prefere?
I've read some books on the kindle-app on my iPad, and it is surprisingly nice to use. Just wondering if a real Kindle is even better?

Does the Kindle take downloads in PDF format travel notes into PDF and put them....
Mine just reads books, but that is what I got it for .
I have an older model that.
I can't judge Kindle because I haven't used one, but I really like my Nook.

This includes flip it to landscape mode, in which case the text is only a bit smaller than if it were printed-on to the core features of the Kindle....
The Kindle just shows up as USB mass storage, so you can dump any files you want on it.

1) It is cheaper....
That if she wants a device just for reading...Kindle is way better...It is smaller, lighter and very to being prejudiced toward the iPad (which I love), but the Kindle has four (and only four) advantages over the iPad.

They wanted something....
DH has a Nook Color, and DD has a Kindle.
If he wants an ereader only, then the Nook or Kindle are fine.
Smaller size than iPad so.
I have a Kindle Fire and love it.
But can have one for it if you travel.
