Have a few servers and they have not been de-fragmented for two years. Is there a standard for what percentage should be fragmented before defragmenting?
The servers are Windows 2003.

It defrags in the background, when your computer in file serving to make it worth the performance hit of the time it takes to defrag.
One tool to thing about is Smart Defrag, by IOBit.

Hi,
It seems that a large terabyte hard drive would take a very long time to defrag. Is there a method one can use that would shorten the defrag time and if so, what is it?
Would this work? Putting partitions on the hard drive and only defrag the partitions...

I'm looking for a free alternative that can do a background defrag the way Perfectdisk can.
If you don't know what I mean by that Perfectdisk basically does a defrag but only during idle system time, whenever an actual program needs the resources it suspends...

The closest I've found so far is Smart Defrag 2 but to it not idle means anything above 20% processor use performance, and is not particularly useful for defragmenting free space (wether in direct defrag free space as well....

Just downloaded the latest version to add to my Advanced System Care PRO (which is great) but it crashes the system with a blue screen (which isn't so great.) Help please? Thanks in advance.
