I live in GMU 19D which allows bear snaring. The only type of set legal for us to use is a snare set in a bucket. Does anyone know if any of the other predator control units allow different methods. ie. snares set on the ground with no bucket? Thanks

I don't know what....
I found bucket rigs way faster to set and way more successful.
Bucket set seems easy to me? Just like when baiting and they stick their arm in to grab some popcorn of the loop so didn't even know they changed the law.

I kno the basic sets with snares are blind sets and bait piles but I was wondering what other ways people use there snares. preferbly for coyote and fox, pics would be appreciated. thanks

Im posting this for our drummer. hes using our bassist's drum kit and its set up at our church. the snare itself seems warped and dont make the sound anymore. just sounds like a drum. would we have to replace the whole drum or is there a way to repair...

They don't cost points to needing new....
Just take it into a shop and get a new snare skin.

Skins break man, I've seen it happen to a band mid set.

Yeah, it's the way the colors work in righty mode(crash and lefty snare are both green).

You, as the snare man have some control over take a bit more work to....
Spool of cable, a good set of cable cutters, several hundred snare locks, double ferrules of the snared animal depends on the species and the set.
Well i have been baiting up a briar thicket for over 30days now and finally the predators have beat in 2seperate entrances to the thicket and i put a snare at one entrance and a blind set Duke #4 at the other and its been about 4days since i set them ...

What kind of cable are you using? whenin my opinion the first snare the lock needs to be back at about 2:00 o'clock like in the second with some castor on the water side ....
