The last time i looked at the NHRA Rule book. they had moved/going to move. to full face helmets. (all brackets)
and yes they need a snell rating. most/all will have a dot rating with the snell. i under stand the last 2 snell ratings snell 2005/2010

On A side Note: paying $59 for a $125+ snell rated M2005 helmet is a goodI went to a motorcycle dealership and bought a M2005 for $100 or so a few years back.
Is just making it even harder.

How do they fit? I had the Forcefield ones before and sold them because they wouldn't stay in place comfortable .

The star comes in three shell sizes, dunno what....
If you are between sizes, you do what you always do with helmets, order a size down .

I have a bell star, its pretty neutral, and tends towards the narrow side instead of the round side of things. .

SNELL SA and M 2000 will be the minimum required for ASE/AISA dates in 2011 and not accepted anymore by many....

Im searching for a new helmet and i narrowed my choices down to the Bell Revolver or the scorpion exo-700 or 400. Which will be the better choice?

Theyre both snell and dot certified, but the 700 will have.
I have no other complaints about my exo 400, even though the bell is the cheapest one .
Both the 400 and 700 are snell approved for m2005.

If you flat tow your car to Minden, or if you tow it on an open trailer in the slush, do everyone (especially the folks that built the track) a favour and take it to the car wash on hwy 35 in Minden and wash it off before you take it into the fairgrounds...
