Socialist" polled better in the U.S., would the Democrat party describe itself as such, given the very Democratic party and the Socialist parties of Europe.

Is the French Socialist Party very wealthy? It would seem that the 'new boy on the block' is intent on a champagne socialist lifestyle.

It's all very well and good banging on about "champagne socialists", but we all know that without wealth they would not get anywhere.
I would hope so, seeing as it takes money to get ahead in politics these days .

In fact there are more differences between the SWP and the Socialist Party than there are between FF , FG or less a brake away faction of militant Labour in the 80s.

I always thought there had been some socialist thought, and maybe communist, that could be better represented by a third party. The Republican and Democrat parties don't always represent "socialist" objectives as well as they could, that is, objectives...
