Best sounding nylon strings regardless of playability or cost. Any opinions on nylon strings? What brands are considered good? Anyone tried any elixir nylons? Thanks forum folk. The brass coating on the top two strings seems to mellow the sound. Not everyone likes to last a long time. And smoother sound, to my ears, with medium gauge, 13 and 17 for those unwound strings. The higher strings sound great, sustain is ok, nice click. Compared to gut (or whackers) all Innovation strings can sound a bit twangy. More gut-like in tone.
