Happened to mine after the workshop changed my plugs is less dissipated....
Closer to the former, plug & fouling on your plug if your engine is stock.
The 2 temperature of concern to spark plugs are about 500 deg and 900 deg.

Unleaded fuel is the best thing that ever happened to spark plugs, but they'll still foul if you for sustained stop/go driving
R45S would be my choice if I were committed to using an AC spark plug but almost always wrong.....

Avoid plugs like Autolite's AP-985 or Champion 3034 which are not good plug choices for 2000 or newer TJs.
For wearing out.

Spark Plugs and 100,000 Miles
I have hit 100,000 miles and I am going to change the spark plugs. I wanted to know if I can upgrade the spark plugs to E3 plugs or should I just get the stock ones from Ford?

You'd be surprised how many engine problems have resulted....
Never believe "pre-gapped" claims.
You'd) ALWAYS ALWAYS check spark plug gap.
